Ondrej Bursik

Ondrej Bursik
BA (Psychology), Dip HSc (Holistic Kinesiology)

On completing his BA in Psychology at Macquarie University in 1997, Ondrej undertook a two year diploma course in Holistic Kinesiology. Also trained in Neurofeedback assessment and analysis procedures, Samonas Sound Therapy, Primitive Reflex Therapy (INPP) and Interactive Metronome, Ondrej currently works at Optimal Learning Centre and lectures in Holistic Kinesiology at the College of Complementary Medicine, Sydney.

Helena Bursik
Helena Bursik
PhD (Psychology)

Helena studied Psychology at Charles University, Prague, finishing her PhD in 1976. After emigrating to Australia in 1984 and being dissatisfied with the approaches and treatment being offered at the time, Helena trained in Neurofeedback, Samonas Sound Therapy and Primitive Reflex Therapy and established an integrated clinic for learning difficulties in 1994. Known then as the Neurodevelopmental and Samonas Sound Therapy Centre and later as Optimal Learning Centre, the clinic has provided effective, drug-free alternatives to children and adolescents with learning difficulties for more than 16 years. 
Emma Barlow
Dip HSc (Holistic Kinesiology)

Emma studied Holistic Kinesiology at the College of Complementary Medicine, Sydney, receiving her Diploma in Health Sciences in 2008. Upon graduating she joined the Optimal Learning Centre team in order to pursue her interest in working with children with learning difficulties. Emma has also trained in Neurofeedback therapy and Primitive Reflex assessment and correction techniques.

Sue Larter

Sue Larter
BOptom, MSc, FACBO, FCOVD

Sue is a specialist Behavioural Optometrist and has been a partner in a private optometric practice in Pennant Hills for more than twenty years, over which time she has developed her passion for helping children with learning difficulties.

Sue is Vice President of the Australasian College of Behavioural Optometrists (ACBO) and was the Behavioural Optometric Consultant to the Giant Steps School for Children with Autism from its inception in 1995, to 2005.

Obsessions:
1. Expansion of top quality Vision Therapy services in Australia;
2. The need to educate therapists to work from a multimodal perspective.

She has one long-suffering husband, two (adult) kids, two Kerry Blue Terriers (that will never be adult), and is the proud owner of a Wollemi Pine.
Hobbies: Tai Chi, Scrabble, reading, bonsai and salsa dancing.
