Vision Therapy

Vision Therapy

Vision therapy is a specialised branch of Behavioural Optometry which has been around since the 1930s.

It’s a program of activities designed to improve visual function by using lenses, prisms, light, movement and balance to improve focusing, eye teaming and eye movement skills. Improtantly, Vision Therapy also works with the cognitive side of vision (beyond just seeing: can you understand what you are looking at).

It can be used to remedy a turned or lazy eye, to help people with learning difficulties, brain injury or autism and for those with computer eye strain. Elite sportspeople can also benefit from an Optometric Vision Therapy program designed to enhance their visual skills.
