Samonas Sound Therapy (SST) is specially selected and recorded classical music, natural sounds and voices.
Specific technical modifications are made so the end result can bring about changes in the function of neurological system, auditory processing speed and auditory focus and discrimination.
The Samonas Sound therapy often is done as a home based program whereby the client listens to specific CD’s for duration of time which is specified by the therapist. Often the listening time varies from several minutes to 45 minutes per day. The CD’s are listened through professional headphones and often the client is asked to do quite activities while lining to the CD’s. (For children this may include school work, reading ect…)
The length of the program varies according to the age and results of the client however it is not unusual for the program to go for 4-7 months.
Over the last 10 years, we have seen great improvements in Auditory processing, SCAN test, TOP test, spelling reading especially reading comprehension and many other functions that rely on the optimal and fast processing of the auditory system.
